The discharge in the reservoirs has been increased in order to keep appropriate buffer. Officials in the state are on high alert as the rainfall is expected to continue for the next 2-3 days across the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that scattered moderate rainfall along with heavy rainfall in isolated areas are likely in Belagavi, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Ballari and Koppal districts.
